This is a trip which brings together one of our favourite local charities – the Jayne Sargent Foundation – with one of our favourite local destinations – the Tea on the Way tearooms at Clun.The charity supports those affected by cancer, whether as sufferers or carers, and the tea rooms are set in superb gardens amid the glorious scenery of the Shropshire Hills area of outstanding natural beauty.As last year, the Jayne Sargent group were taken to Clun in the Brosely Friendly bus with Immediate Past President Charlie Miller providing the on-board entertainment while other Lions followed by car. This was a repeat of the outing first run in 2017 and whilst the weather wasn’t quite as good this year the cakes were just as good.
