Our first prostate screening evening in March 2017 attracted around 450 men; this year once again a long queue formed well before the start of the session and our 12 wonderful phlebotomists took blood tests from 667 men in the space of 2.5 hours before we ran out of test kits. We ran a small follow-up session on the 23rd April which added a further 44 men which takes the total number tested to more than 700. As last year we had great support from our partners Ironbridge Rotary and from Tesco Madeley. An enormous “Thank You” too to the Anstice Trustees who allowed us to use their beautiful building free of charge not once but twice. This was a real community project and we are now looking towards a 3rd testing event in early 2019.
