The link above will take you to a recording of a recent Shropshire radio interview between  Eric Smith and a gentleman called Harold Taylor.  For those who are not familiar Harold’s story, he was one of the 420- plus men who came to our prostate testing in March. As a direct result of that testing he was referred for further tests and subsequently discovered that he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. Harold is now undergoing treatment and the prognosis for recovery is good. But, as you will hear from the recording, things could have been very different had he not attended our testing event.

Harold and his wife Jackie, shown pictured at the recent Coracle regatta, have retained regular contact with us since March and they are both dedicated to waving the banner very publicly for PSA testing. The interview with Eric Smith was part of that and it provides a salutary lesson for anyone with doubts about the benefits of PSA testing. As we move towards our second testing event in March next year we send our very best wishes to Harold and Jackie and all those undergoing treatment as a follow up to our first testing event.
