Help Us To Make Someone's Christmas
The Lions Christmas Box scheme is our way of giving those less fortunate than ourselves a very special treat at Christmas. Christmas expectations can be high but for those living in poverty, facing homelessness or family breakdown it can be a desperate time, especially where children are concerned. There are also many people, young and old, who have no family and face an equally unhappy time at what should be a joyous period for all.
How You Can Help
You can help us to make someone’s Christmas by organising a collection of non-perishable food items among your family, friends, neighbours or work colleagues. Just get an empty cardboard box or a large bag for life and invite others to help you fill it with non-perishable food and treats. You can collect items in any way that you wish and fill as many boxes or bags as you wish, and when you’re ready we will arrange a pick up at a time to suit you.
Next steps
We would like you to complete a brief registration form before you start your collect. This will give us the information we need to arrange pick up when your collection is complete and, in the meantime, we will of course keep your information secure. Just complete the form below and click the Register button. We will then send you a list of suitable items and an information slip which you can print off to explain the background and purpose of the food collection.
Thank you
For your interest in the Christmas Box scheme. If you need any further information please email cthompson@bcs.org.uk or call me on 07970 417497. We hope you will feel able to help us and we wish you and your family a very happy Christmas.
