One of our Silver over the Bridge events at the back end of the 2018 season was dedicated to the Wolverhampton MS Therapy unit, one of our favourite local charities. It has taken some time to organise a presentation session but President Jim Philbin recently presented a cheque for £300 to Sue Husband who manages the unit.

Located within the West Midlands for over 30 years the therapy centre has been supplying oxygen treatment, therapies and support to help with the physical and psychological effects of both long-term debilitating conditions and short term traumas such as after surgery or perhaps caused by an accident. The unit receives no funding from government or from National charities and relies heavily on volunteer support. But when we visit we are always impressed by the dedication of the staff and the friendly atmosphere among those attending for treatment. Pictures show the President and Sue Husband  inside `and alongside the pressurised oxygen chamber which is the central feature of the treatment offered at the unit.
